Walmart

I went to Walmart last night to purchase some toys for Lyra. Well, while I was there, I decided to buy an 80gb iPod. It was the last one. I took it home and noticed that there was no plastic wrapper on the box, which was weird. When I took the iPod out, it was all scratched up and had finger prints all over it.

Pffft.

I took it back and complained. And got my money back for it. They guy in the electronics must’ve just came in for work because he was different. He said people do that all the time and that he hates Walmart.

I’m buying a different one from somewhere else. I’m mad.

Hello Kitty Cookie Cake

The short, annoying kid who is a bagger at Food Lion bought that cookie cake for me for my birthday exactly nine days late. I’ve known him for a little over a year and I did not expect him to get me anything at all. He delivered it to my house this past Wednesday.

He told me that the people who worked at the cake place didn’t know what Hello Kitty was and that he had to draw it for them. I swear, it was the nicest thing. I refuse to cut into Kitty’s face! ha!

58 cents

My mom decided to go to the store today to do the last bit of grocery shopping that we needed to do. One of the things on the list was laundry detergent. I always calculate how many fluid ounces and the prices of all the detergent to determine the best buy. Well, I found a detergent for $2.50 and it was 128 fluid ounces. So I picked up two of them.

I also bought some more baby food for Lyra because her favorite stuff is all gone. I had coupons for the baby food and then two coupons that said “75 cents off of your shopping order”. So we go to register four and put everything (we had more than detergent and baby food) on the belt and away they went to get scanned! My mother handed the cashier her MVP card, which gives us discounts in the store if stuff is on sale, and then the coupons. The total amount of coupons handed in was $5.50 which was great!

My mother paid for the food with food stamps and we got our total for the non-food. It was 58 cents. I was freaking out and I made sure the cashier rung up the detergent; she did. I figured out that since my mom paid with food stamps, the coupons took money off of the non-food stuff. So I paid 58 cents for two big things of detergent and then some other, small non-food thing.

I’m so amazed. SO AMAZED that I have to post an entry about it. FIFTY-EIGHT FREAKING CENTS! :D

I’m going to be organizing my Photobucket account. If you see any broken images, they will most definitely be fixed as soon as possible.

Oh and I bought pink sleep pants from Victoria’s Secret yesterday since I never bought anything for myself for my birthday. I like them. They have pockets. Still no hair cut, though. :p

Sorry for so many lame, short entries.
