This is what I get for wanting more, wanting more.

I have been annoyed with MySpace and re-addicted to Facebook lately. That’s how I’m starting my post. :)

I’m really loving my childhood classes this semester! I have Childhood Development II and Intro to Early Childhood Education. They are the longest classes I have, too, but it’s SO worth it! The other two classes that I have are Expository Writing, which we are required to have a Twitter account (and I was the only person in the class who already had one geekly ) and Success and Study Skills which just teaches you how to manage your time and get through college successfully.

I finally finished Twilight. It took me forever because of how busy I’ve been, but at least I can move on to New Moon and hopefully read it before the movie premieres.

I’m thinking about visiting my dad and step-mom in Illinois on the Columbus Day weekend. The college is giving us extra days off, so I would leave Thursday the 8th of October after my last class and then return Wednesday the 14th of October. I don’t know why I typed the dates like that. lol Anyway… I let my mother know of my plans to visit them for a week and she flipped out accusing me of wanting to live with them so I might as well pack ALL of my stuff and just go. I’m like, “I’m registered in school here. I can’t just GO.” Oh well. She’ll get over it.

Hmm… what else is there?

Oh! Kurtis transferred to a new store, so I won’t be seeing him anymore. Food Lion got new uniforms and I LOVE them to death! They’re green! :cute: My friends and I have been going to the club on Sundays and we’re going again tonight! It’s so much fun to dance (even though I barely do) with Brittany, Bobby, and Brooks!

Uhmm, Dustin hasn’t talked to me for 5-days now, so I don’t know where that’s going. So much for it going really well, huh? It’s okay though. I don’t think I could possibly cry anymore over him. Lyra and college are WAY more important than having to worry about a boyfriend. I set my priorities straight, apparently. ;)

I feel like a better mother to Lyra now that I have more time with her and I’m learning how children her age think by taking these classes. I don’t know why, but I get all emotional about it all because I know I’m doing it for her. My little Lyra Paige!

My first week of school is over! I really enjoyed it although the way my schedule is set up, it’s kind of a waste of gas on Tuesday and Wednesday because I’ll be in class for one hour each day. :|

So I told you all that Dustin wasn’t working out, right? Well, he totally shocked me recently trying to get me back. I know he’s broken my heart like 35865549 times, but he swore up and down that he’s different now and he has changed for the better. So far, so good! I’m really happy that this time might actually be THE RIGHT time for us. :)

My sister’s boyfriend, on the other hand, stole $360 from my mother for drugs. We are all in utter disappointment because it wasn’t expected from him. Most of that money was mine for clothes and whatnot. Oh well.

Excuse me for not having anything interesting to say. My mind’s been all over the place lately. :p

Or maybe I’m just happy that I’m not in love with a complete loser. haha!

Back to the rhythm and back to the beat of the radio.

I have been non-stop listening to Kings of Leon. Well, it’s been like that since January, but it seems to be worse now. lol I would love some music suggestions from you guys! I like music that isn’t really popular. :)

I went to my school and re-tested! Since it was just that one (instead of four tests), my eyeballs didn’t hurt and I passed with a 93! :D The sad thing about it is that I can’t do early registration now like I wanted to. I have to go on August 12th with everyone else who didn’t get to register early. I really don’t feel like waiting in a long freaking line, but it’ll all be worth it! I’m getting more education, which for some reason, I crave it. I crave knowledge! geekly Am I weird?

Oh, man. My friends and I went to see the movie “Orphan” the other night. Let me tell you that scary movies are my absolute favorite, but I’ve been bored with all the new ones because they are so predictable. But “Orphan” was completely different and really creepy! I swear that I have been freaked out for the past couple of days because that little girl is just… evil! Other than that, it was the best movie I have seen in a LONG time. Makes me re-think (Read more…)

I have been extremely lazy and stressed lately. I took my placement exams at the college a few days ago. The light on the computer was straining my eyeballs so I kind of rushed through the last bit of it and almost passed the reading part, but didn’t. I need to pass it in order to take this writing class that I’m trying to get into. So they told me the retest dates and said it was anytime between 8:30am and 5:30pm. I go up there at 10:30am since I like to sleep in and they say, “No, it’s only at those two times. Not anytime in between.”

I’m telling you that i never get mad, but that pissed me off. I’m going back on the next retest date (August 6th), but that is eleven days before school starts and I haven’t even registered for classes yet. I hope there will still be some space left in that writing class.

Anyway, I’m getting some hours at Food Lion next week. Not like I really want to be there. Kurtis told the girl who makes the schedules that I have open availability, meaning that I can work any time, any day. They all know that’s impossible when I have Lyra and I’m starting school soon. I don’t know what his deal is. At least I’ll have some money, I guess.

Speaking of, my step-mother finally deposited my paycheck from when I worked for her in June. It was only 13 hours, but I have something now! :)

Oh, and I was reunited with an old friend recently, thanks to Dustin. By the way, we’re not working out. I’ll tell more in my next blog. T_T
