First Day of Classes!

Yesterday was the first day of the fall semester at my college. I decided last semester that it would be best if I took my classes online since I would have a preschooler, a newborn, and hopefully a full-time job.

Just to let everyone know… I’ve tried online classes 4-years ago and I get distracted way too easily by my website! lol

So I log into Blackboard, which is like a virtual campus or something, and what do I do? I go right to Twitter and totally waste 30 minutes on there!

After forcing myself to log back into Blackboard, I chose to review the Intro to Web Design course first. I started reading the syllabus and every other course document at 8:30am and finally finished at 1:00pm! o_O I mean, there was so much to read! During all that time, I did attempt to complete the first assignment, but his directions were very unclear. I thought I was the only student who thought this, but apparently a lot of other students did, too. We all got an e-mail this morning on how to submit the assignment. Now hopefully I can get that finished.

I ended up taking a mini-break after reviewing just that one class and started back up again with Web Technologies Program Orientation. I did not sign-up for that class at first, but the program head told me it was required if I wanted a degree. It’s supposed to “teach” me basic HTML and whatnot. -_- I totally laughed at the guy, but had him sign me up anyway.

So from about 1:30pm until 6:00pm, I was reviewing just THAT class. I thought, “Are you freaking kidding me? It’s going to take 5-hours or more just to get through one class?”

Well, I have two more classes to look over. I figured I’d get them done today and then create a schedule for myself so I’m not doing classwork all day long. I need to make time for my family, friends, job, and website. This schedule should help me out… I hope. :|

11 Things I Dislike About Pregnancy

Written by: Kerri on Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 | Comments (3)

There are a lot of things that women really dislike about their pregnancies. Below is my list, but leave a comment with yours! B)

  1. The frequent urination: I swear that I had to pee every 5-minutes for the entire pregnancy!
  2. Discomfort in the third trimester: Tossing and turning at night and barely sleeping because of it. I would lay on my left side and it would hurt my back. I would turn on my right side and my legs would go numb. Not fun!
  3. Prenatal appointments: Almost all of them were a waste of time. I went in and left about 15-minutes later.
  4. Internal exams at the prenatal appointments: Not only is it weird to have your doctor feeling inside of you, but sometimes it hurts.
  5. Worrying about the baby: I always worry. There’s no changing it.
  6. Contractions: I only felt one or two contractions with Lyra before I got the epidural, but those one or two contractions hurt like HELL.
  7. When everyone and their mother asks when the baby is due, what the gender is, “OMG, you haven’t had that baby yet?!” …obviously not!
  8. People’s snide remarks about how young you look to be having a baby, let alone already having a 3-year-old.
  9. Not being able to eat or drink certain foods: I really enjoy Dr. Pepper and deli sandwiches, but I had to limit my intake to almost NEVER for 9-months!
  10. Shortness of breath: I would just be standing there and lose my breath. Standing!
  11. Getting stretchmarks: I have them everywhere. Literally. And they won’t fade or go away.

What do/did you dislike about your pregnancy?
