From the Heart
Lately I’ve been posting how I’m super busy with life. I’ve got my two children, a full time job, college, plus I’m planning a wedding… that gets kind of crazy, don’t you think? I agree. Well, read some updates!
Food Lion… That’s my job. It’s a love/hate relationship. This place takes up most of my time and money! I work there and shop there, so they get all the money they pay me BACK into their bank accounts and I might as well live in the store.
Children… Lyra is a sick kid. Well, not really. But she gets sick wicked easily. She’s allergic to every kind of pollen and tree and chocolate and dairy! Poor child. Dalton isn’t that bad. Actually, I believe he’s only been sick twice and it was just little colds that weren’t nothing! They’re both something else. Dalton already likes to aggravate Lyra and he’s only 9-months! Too cute!
Wedding… Most of you know that my desired career is to be a wedding and event planner. I’m starting out planning my own wedding and also going to school for event planning. I’m not getting married until next May, but I’m the type that likes to get things done early. NO PROCRASTINATION! Sup?
Hopefully I’ll post more little updates like this… you know, about family, work, and life in general. I don’t think I’m going to post the Food Lion sales ads anymore since I post the next week’s that isn’t out yet… that might be illegal! LOL.

New Baby, College, Back to Work… Oh My!
As most of you don’t know, I am currently expecting a baby boy any day now. I already have a 3-year-old daughter, Lyra, and she’s a handful. I’m also on maternity leave from my job, Food Lion, and the next semester at the college begins on August 16th.
I am going to be overwhelmed for about half a year.
I expect it should be a little easy in the beginning because Lyra will be in preschool most of the day and since I’m used to being a mom, I’ll know how to multi-task with the new baby. I’m only taking three classes until October when I also go back to work. I think that my most overwhelming time will be October 3rd through December 18th because I’ll be doing everything during those months.
I’m just trying to get this all out so maybe I can breathe. Anyone have any tips on managing such a workload? Anyone else going through something similar to me?
Lord, I hope not!

Absolutely rude!
I’m at work ringing up my friend’s order and talking to her at the same time. The meeting I just went to said we must talk to every single customer. Well there was this short, white lady and the big, black lady behind my friend. Since I wasn’t finished ringing my friend up or bagging, I was still talking. All of a sudden, the black lady starts yelling, “There’s no need to hold a meeting right now! I want to go home!” My friend left and shouted something mean to her (but she didn’t hear them) and I calmly told the lady, “I am supposed to talk to my customers while I’m bagging.” And you know what she says?
“You were done bagging and just standing around talking!”
Uhh, I don’t do that, just to let you guys know. I like to get my job done. Anyway, she then says that she wants to talk to the manager. The white lady that was in the line said, “I cannot believe she’s embarrassing me like this. I brought her here to get food and you did nothing to her.”
Now, I know that I didn’t nothing wrong. Some other people said she must’ve had a bad day and just wanted to take it out on someone. I guess that someone was me. So she comes back with the manager and says (with attitude), “I’m sorry if I sounded rude to you, but I want to go home and you were just standing around talking. I know about customer service. I’m a manager at McDonald’s.” And I replied saying, “Oh, okay. I’m really sorry about this.” AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAYS TO MY MANAGER?
“See? She’s giving me a sarcastic attitude and a mean look! She’s being so rude to me! You know what little girl? You’re a baby. You need to go home and get in your little crib and suck on your damn bottle!” And I looked at her like, “Excuse me?” Although I didn’t say that and she said, “That’s right, I said it! You’re a baby!”
Now, wtf. I never did anything mean to her. I was being super nice and I was not ignoring her to talk to my friends because I (unlike some people) do my gosh darn job! I couldn’t believe what she said! And the little, white lady screamed, “That’s enough, [insert name here]!”. I forgot the ugly biotch’s name. Sorry, I try not to curse.
I ended up crying after she left. She made me so angry and I couldn’t go off on her like I wanted to. The manager told me that I handled it really well, though.
I feel like going to McDonald’s (even though I refuse to eat there, she might spit in my food) and being a very rude customer to her. Like, who cares if she works at McDonald’s? I know that I work at a grocery store called “Food Lion”, but I’m a teen and I am going to get a better job than MCDONALD’S AT THE AGE OF FREAKING 40!
I think I’m finished now. If not, expect more. I absolutely hate what she did to me, but I do not hate her.
The end.

Hey, I'm Kerri and I am the webmistress of this blog! I am a young mother of two children and one on the way! I'm working towards becoming a wedding and event planner in the near future, but I also build a lot of websites for no reason and I like to drink coffee. :)
